JEE-Advanced 2018


IIT JEE Advanced 2018 will be jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and IIT Guwahati. It is the second stage of the two-tier IIT JEE test; the first being JEE Main. According to the official report, JEE Advanced 2018 exam will be conducted on Sunday, 20 May 2018.


JEE Advanced 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2018 has been announced. The good news is, next year more number of candidates would be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced than in 2017. The number of candidates who qualify JEE Main and will be considered eligible toThe  sit for JEE Advanced 2018 has been increased to 2,24,000, that is the top 2,24,000 candidates in JEE Main 2018 will be considered eligible for JEE Advanced 2018. However, qualifying JEE Main 2018 is not the only eligibility criteria. 

· Age limit : GE and OBC category students must have been born on or after October 1, 1993. SC, ST and PwD category candidates must have been born on or after October 01, 1988.



.Number of AttemptsA candidate can attempt JEE Advanced  a maximum of two times in consecutive years. 

.Class 12 Board Exam: The candidate should have appeared in class 12 board exam for the first time either in 2017 or 2018. 

In case the board had declared the result for academic year 2015-16 after June 2016, then candidate of that board will also be considered eligible. However, in cases where the board had declared the result before June 2016 but the candidate's result was withheld, such candidates would not be eligible for the test. 
Class 12 Board Exam Percentage The candidate must be in the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective class 12 board examination.  



JEE-Advanced 2018 Exam Timings:

Candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2018 must note the following exam timings for Paper I and Paper II carefully. Late entry in the examination hall will not be allowed.

PAPER-1 – 9:00 TO 12:00 IST

PAPER-2 – 14:00 TO 17:00 IST

Kindly Note: Candidates using Scribe Service will get one hour compensatory i.e. the end time for them will be 13:00 IST (01:00 p.m.) for Paper I and 18:00 IST (06:00 p.m.) for Paper II.


JEE Advanced 2018 Paper Pattern:

Candidates must specify their choice of question paper language at the time of JEE Advanced 2018 Online Registration. The question papers will be printed separately in English and Hindi language. Check out JEE Advanced 2018 Paper Pattern below:

· Total Exam Duration – two papers of 3 hours duration

· Question Paper Sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

· Question Paper Language - The question paper language should be selected by the candidates during JEE Advanced 2018 Registration.     Change of Question Paper language will NOTbe entertained after registration.

· Question Types - JEE Advanced 2018 Question Paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer type Questions to test reasoning, analytical and comprehension ability of the candidates.


JEE Advanced 2018 Important Dates:

· Online Registration for JEE Advanced will commence in 4th week of april,2018.

 .Online Registration for JEE(Advance) process close in 1st week of May,2018.

· JEE Main 2018 results will be declared by 30th april,2018 (tentatively).

· JEE Advanced 2018 Exam will be conducted on 20th May 2018,.

· Download and print JEE-Advanced admit card from 2nd  week of May 2018,
