JEE-Advanced 2017

 

IIT JEE Advanced 2017 will be jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and IIT Guwahati. It is the second stage of the two-tier IIT JEE test; the first being JEE Main. According to the official report, JEE Advanced 2015 exam will be conducted on Sunday, 21 May 2017.

 

JEE Advanced 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

 

· Only those candidates who will qualify JEE Main 2015 will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2017 exam.

· Students who appeared for the qualifying examination in 2015 or earlier are NOT eligible for JEE Advanced 2017.

· Students who appeared for IIT JEE 2015 or earlier are NOT eligible for JEE Advanced 2017 test.

· 50.5% for GEN (from the common merit list), 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST. Within each of these four categories, 3% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.

· A maximum of two (2) attempts are allowed in two consecutive years.

· Age limit – GE and OBC category students must have been born on or after October 1, 1992. SC, ST and PwD category candidates must have been born on or after October 01, 1987.

· Aspirant who is not among top 20 percentile, but has got more than75% will be eligible for JEE-advanced 2015.

· Kindly Note, Class 10th marksheet is accepted as Date of Birth Proof for JEE Advanced.

 

JEE-Advanced 2017 Exam Timings:

 

Candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2017 must note the following exam timings for Paper I and Paper II carefully. Late entry in the examination hall will not be allowed.

PAPER-1 – 9:00 TO 12:00 IST

PAPER-2 – 14:00 TO 17:00 IST

Kindly Note: Candidates using Scribe Service will get one hour compensatory i.e. the end time for them will be 13:00 IST (01:00 p.m.) for Paper I and 18:00 IST (06:00 p.m.) for Paper II.

 

 

JEE Advanced 2017 Paper Pattern:

 

Candidates must specify their choice of question paper language at the time of JEE Advanced 2017 Online Registration. The question papers will be printed separately in English and Hindi language. Check out JEE Advanced 2017 Paper Pattern below:

· Total Exam Duration – two papers of 3 hours duration

· Question Paper Sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

· Question Paper Language - The question paper language should be selected by the candidates during JEE Advanced 2017 Registration.     Change of Question Paper language will NOTbe entertained after registration.

· Question Types - JEE Advanced 2017 Question Paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer type Questions to test reasoning, analytical and comprehension ability of the candidates.

 

JEE Advanced 2017 Important Dates:

 

· Online Registration for JEE Advanced will commence in 28th april,2017.

 .Online Registration for JEE(Advance) process close in 2nd May,2017.

· JEE Main 2017 results will be declared by 27th april,2017 (tentatively).

· JEE Advanced 2017 Exam will be conducted on 21st May 2017, Sunday.

· Download and print JEE-Advanced admit card from May 10 to May 21, 2017
